I have been with Youth For Tomorrow since graduating with my Master’s in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech in 2013. Prior to joining YFT, I have worked with adolescents and young adults in group home, foster care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings. In addition, I have worked with children, providing therapeutic day treatment services in an elementary school setting. I work with children ages seven and older, teens, and adults, and specialize in working with families. In my counseling approach, an emphasis is placed on building a collaborative therapeutic relationship in a nonjudgmental and growth-encouraging environment. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, in addition to employing Person-Centered, Existential, and Family Systems approaches. I am available to provide services in both our Woodbridge and Manassas locations.
A Northern Virginia native, I attended the University of Virginia graduating with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, prior to pursuing Master’s studies at Virginia Tech. I have returned to Virginia Tech for post-master’s education, seeking to continue upon a path of growth and advancement in my profession. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, keeping up with the local area sports teams, and spending time with my family and two dogs.

I am a native of Kentucky, and made Northern Virginia my home after marrying my husband in 1974. Together we raised 4 children and have been blessed with 2 grandchildren (so far). In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, sewing, scrapbooking, spending time with family and crafting with my granddaughter. I am an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
I am a graduate of George Mason University with a BA in Psychology and completed my Master of Arts in Community Counseling at Eastern Mennonite University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. I am trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Filial, Trauma and Sand Tray. My clinical focus is addressing the needs of children and families struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, trauma, and PTSD. I am able to use a strength based approach to therapy with an attachment focus. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, the Virginia Counseling Association, the Association for Play Therapy, and the Virginia Association for Play Therapy. I feel blessed to be able to serve the needs of children and families in the community.

I am a native of New York, the son of Italian immigrants. I graduated from Christian Life College with a BA in both Theology and Missions. I completed my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I joke that I have a PhD in Common Sense. I have been involved in Christian ministry since my teen years and have travelled as a faith-oriented public speaker throughout the United States and on four continents. I came to Youth For Tomorrow Behavioral Health Solutions from having worked at Prince William County Department of Social Services. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I have previously worked as a teen residential counselor and in an adult detention center. I started out in the counseling field working with children and adolescents, predominantly with issues of anxiety, depression, and ADHD. I soon expanded to working with adults as well, including marriage and family counseling. I work now primarily with adolescents and adults. I utilize an integrated approach to various schools of therapy, primarily employing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy using a Person-Centered style.
In addition to being a husband and father to a wonderful family, I enjoy team sports, strategy, finance / economics, and exploring principles of greatness.

Hello! My name is Kelley and I am a Resident in Counseling who completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Prior to employment with Youth For Tomorrow, I worked in a private practice setting and co-facilitated the diversion program with juvenile court services. I am a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid trainer that has spent over a decade working with families, children, and adolescents in varying learning issues and behavioral concerns.
I believe in a compassionate person-centered approach that respects the client’s autonomy and integrates a holistic treatment in physical, mental, spiritual, social, and emotional wellness. I practice evidence-based therapeutic modalities in CBT and ACT and incorporate a strength-based and solution-focused approach for a deeper understanding of self.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Hi, I’m Carolina! I completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology in Italy and achieved my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Hodges University in FL, CACREP accredited. I am currently registered as a Resident in Counseling and receiving supervision towards my LPC.
Primarily, I worked with children from 2 yo to adulthood and their families in New Orleans, Louisiana, providing psychiatric community support services and psycho-social rehabilitation services in-home and in-community. I then, gathered extensive experience in substance abuse treatment at a Detox, Residential, Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient level of care for young adults and adults up until 75 yo. For one year, I worked with children on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder, 2 yo up to 14 yo. Previously, I have worked for over 17 years with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with different mental health issues, substance abuse and eating disorders. More recently, I specifically worked with the eating disorders population at a residential level of care and outpatient therapy for adolescents and adults. I gathered experience in working on an individual and group setting, couple therapy, and family therapy for people and children in different level of care and from different cultures and backgrounds.
I’ve lived in different states for the past 9 years working in the mental health field. I now, found myself continuing my vocation to help people in their journey towards wellness and a better quality of life within Youth for Tomorrow, which I’ve been so far, amazed with the type of services and professional care that they offer.
