Dr. Aisha Thompson
PhD, LCP
Director BHS - Lansdowne | Substance Abuse Program Manager Loudoun
Dr. Thompson is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Substance Abuse Program Coordinator. She has devoted her career to serving children, adolescents, and families. She is excited to be a part of the Youth for Tomorrow team. Dr. Thompson is passionate about empowering others to access their God-given potential, learn from their experiences, and grow to be the best version of themselves.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The University of Mary Washington. She has a Masters of Education in Risk and Prevention from Harvard University and a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia. She completed her postdoctoral residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center and has been working in the Northern Virginia area ever since.
Dr. Thompson has experience in a variety of clinical settings such as inpatient, intensive outpatient programs, partial hospital programs, community mental health, and residential care. She specializes in assessment and diagnostic services, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, developmental and complex trauma, and serving at-risk and underserved populations. She is committed to using evidenced-based practices and applies a strength-based and person center approach.In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family & friends, practicing yoga, art, and enjoying the outdoors.
