Courtney Gaskins, Ph.D.

Director of Program Services

Dr. Gaskins joined YFT in 2004 as a special education teacher, became the Director of Evaluation, Assessment and Training and Acting Director of Admissions and is now the Director of Program Services. As such, Dr. Gaskins provides oversight and guides program implementation to YFT’s three components:  residential, education and counseling.  She is a member of the Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Task Force.

Dr. Gaskins has been an adjunct lecturer at George Mason University and Mary Washington University. Prior to joining YFT, Gaskins was a special education teacher for four years at public schools in Virginia and a youth development specialist for the preceding 10 years. She earned her B.A. in psychology and PhD in education from George Mason University and an M.Ed and a Certification in Education Leadership from the University of Mary Washington. She is published and the recipient of numerous awards, including the GMU, College of Education and Human Development Service Award in 2010.
