A Letter From Joe Gibbs

Friends,
As we walk through joys and challenges of our lives, we are forever thankful to God who has prepared the ultimate “game plan” for life for us. I am a firm believer that in anything we do we have to have a “game plan.” Every game I coached in the NFL and every race JGR has ever run, we have had a game plan to gain the competitive edge and best prepare us for winning.
At Youth For Tomorrow, it is no different. We must prepare a game plan each year to generate the funds necessary to meet the needs of the children God has placed in our care. As you know, since our inception in August of 1986, we daily teach our children Godly principles. We have a dedicated professional staff serving our award winning program.
Our game plan for financially supporting this program involves strategic fundraising each year. I know we are all challenged by the downturn in the economy. But I believe this is all part of God’s plan to test our will and to direct our thoughts towards what really matters—what we do for others is more important than what we accumulate for ourselves. I’m asking you to take a moment and reflect on how you might be able to help us—to help our children—to become part of our “game plan” for saving the souls of the 100+ boys and girls we serve every year.
Believe me, every  contribution is important to us. For some of you it may be $1,000, others of you may do $250 or $100. If your donation is $25, thank you for helping Patrick, Brenda, Natalie, Brad and some 60 others just like them.
If instead of a general donation, you may wish to donate to one of our highly acclaimed special events. The one immediately challenging us is our 24th annual Country Fair/Auctions scheduled on our 200 acre campus on Saturday, October 3rd.
When my family attends the Fair, we are always amazed at how many activities are available for children—over 50 rides and entertaining activities—all just for the children’s admission price of $5. To be sure, this is the best bargain in all of Northern Virginia as an afternoon of fun for your children or grandchildren. Add to the children’s activities the unique and exciting auction items, tents for business sponsors, tasty food donated by several restaurants and the knowledge that you are helping save the souls and, in many cases, literally saving the lives of our children, makes attending the Fair a great family affair.
If you want to become a “player” in our “game plan,” I invite you to call Dr. Gary Jones, our CEO. Call Gary at 703/396-7239 or 703/631-3360. He and our development staff are ready to respond to your offer of assistance.  We need you. Our children need you.

Thanks for being there when it counts for our kids.
